Valley Vision was Thrilled to Host the Livability Summit on October 30th, 2023.
The Livability Summit is Valley Vision's annual collaborative conference for advancing equity, sustainability, and prosperity. The Livability Summit provides a space where community members and regional leaders unite, share views and voices, listen and reflect, and engage with a diverse audience capable of creating real impact.
Everyone is invited to the table because everyone deserves the opportunity to shape the future of the communities we live in. It is about belonging and being heard in a safe space, coming together to engage in conversations about challenging topics, and being open to solutions that can benefit us all.
Valley Vision’s data-driven Wellness Check on the state of the region’s livability serves as the foundation for speakers, panels, and facilitated conversations. Through impactful presentations and topic-specific small group discussions, the event inspires important dialogue and forges new connections that build trust among us, alignment around top priorities, and momentum to take action that can advance more livable communities.

The Livability Summit is an inclusive event, open to all. We believe that cost should not be a barrier that prevents individuals and small organizations from participating in community-focused events. For this reason, our pricing structure has been designed with these considerations in mind.

There is no cost for students to attend with a valid student ID. Registration is required.

Tickets for community members not associated with a company or organization are available at a price of $25.

Nonprofit, educational, government, and tribal organizations can purchase individual tickets at $50 each

Individual tickets are available to private sector businesses at a price of $125

Data-Driven Solutions
Valley Vision routinely conducts research on priority issues to gather and understand the perspectives of the community.
The findings lead us to data-informed discussions about topics that most concern the Sacramento region. By engaging a diverse network of individuals, these discussions allow for the exchange of views and ideas on the issues that impact our community most.
The Livability Poll is fielded annually and is an important “Wellness Check” for our region. The insights obtained from the Livability Poll form the foundation for engaging discussions and shaping the Livability Summit. The 2022 Livability Poll brought to light insights that centered around Housing and Homelessness, which came to the forefront of last year’s summit with industry experts and community members sharing insights and solutions.

Event seating is planned ahead of time to ensure that each table consists of attendees from a variety of organizations and backgrounds. Meaningful discussions are a core component of the Livability Summit, so we encourage attendees to network and share their unique expertise with the people they are seated with.

Planning of the event requires advance preparation in order to ensure the best experience for attendees. Therefore, all tickets to the Livability Summit must be purchased in advance.

If circumstances arise that preclude you from attending, we would be happy to donate your ticket to another community member. Please contact Brittnii Johnson at brittnii.johnson@valleyvision.org to coordinate donating your ticket.
If unforeseen events require us to cancel the event, we will attempt to reschedule the event to another date or a refund will be provided.

Morning beverages and lunch are included in your ticket price. The menu will accommodate vegetarian and gluten-free diets. If you have specialty dietary requirements or allergies, please notify Brittnii Johnson at brittnii.johnson@valleyvision.org.

Yes, the Safe Credit Union Convention Center is fully compliant with all ADA requirements.

There is no specific dress code, but we recommend business comfortable.

Sacramento Regional Transit, rideshare services, and carpooling are encouraged. Adjacent to the Safe Credit Union Convention Center are several public parking garages. Please see here for more information.

Please enter the venue at the 13th and K street entrance. Take the escalator or elevator to the 2nd floor where you will find the event check-in desk.

The best experience for attendees requires in-person attendance and a virtual option is not available. Presentations, reports, and event materials will be publicly available following the event.
